About this Exam
GATE
GATE is conducted by IITs and IISc (jointly, on behalf of MHRD / Ministry of Education). It is a CBT (Computer Based Test) exam consisting of 65 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 180 minutes.
There is a negative marking of 0.33 per wrong answer. The minimum qualifying score is Qualifying marks: 25 (SC/ST/PwD) or 33.3 (General/OBC); PSU cut-offs are higher and set annually.
