i have not done well at competitive exams i want to try for IIT but now a days they are making the eligibility norms more tougher. so what to do? Should i drop the idea of trying an year and opt for something else like arts stream? Because my final aim is getting through IAS. Please do suggest?
Govt Jobs Mizoram, Government Vacancy Mizoram, Sarkari Naukri Mizoram, Indian Employment News Mizoram,
A Bachelors Degree holder in any stream can appear for IAS conducted by UPSC provided one fulfills other eligibility requirements such as age nationality etc. You can take Arts stream if you feel comfortable in this.
Do Bachelor of Arts B.A. with combination of subjects of your choice. Take good subjects as mentioned in another answer here.
Other thing IAS is a very tough competitive exam and can not be taken lightly.
The Indian Administrative Service IAS is the administrative civil service of the Indian government. One of the three All India Services along with the Indian Police Service and the Indian Forest Service.
About 300 to 400 candidates are finally selected each year out of the nearly 400000 but only a rank in the top 50100 guarantees an IAS or IFS selectionan acceptance rate of 0.01 percent which makes it perhaps the most competitive exam in the world.
My purpose for telling you is to start as early as possible for preparing for this exam to get a better chance of being selected. Better join a reputed coaching center in the final year of your degree course.
